When we decided to elope it was important for us to find a photographer who was talented and could help us create a perfect day for the two of us. We stumbled upon Thang on Google and we were quickly impressed.
His photos were stunning and he had many options for locations in Vietnam, which were all so pretty. When we reached out he got back to us quickly and we met him over Skype.
Being from Canada we were nervous about the language barrier and about figuring out how to plan our day. Thang took care of everything! He helped us organize everything, from giving us recommendations to him to booking vendors himself.
When we got to Vietnam, we met with Thang, got to know him very well and he did a photo session with us in the city of Hanoi. It gave us so much relief having met him right before our big day.
We got along with him very well as he is incredibly friendly and kind! He even helped us when I forgot my wedding dress at a hotel in Hanoi – he brought it to us in Ninh Binh. Truly he is a lifesaver!!!!
The wedding day was phenomenal, he picked the best locations to take photos and they turned out better than we expected!!!!

Our adventure elopement experience in Vietnam with Jasmin Wedding was incredible. Thang orchestrated our special day perfectly and made it a very stress free experience, which is exactly what we were looking for by eloping instead of doing a traditional wedding. He found the most beautiful untouched mountain top for our ceremony in Ninh Binh, with a stunning view. The location was only accessible by rowboat and a short hike.
And it had absolutely no tourists which was so surprising given how popular of a destination Ninh Binh is for tourists. A true gem! It was exactly what we wanted. As a couple that lives in California, USA, we could not prepare ahead of time by looking at ceremony spots ourselves in person so we put our full trust in Thang and we’re so glad we did! He coordinated the boats and vendors so that we could truly enjoy the day and live in the moment, with no worries.
As a foreign LGBTQ+ lesbian couple visiting Vietnam for the first time, we did not know what to expect when we first started reaching out to photographers in Vietnam — but we were welcomed so warmly by Thang. We wanted to work with Thang because he immediately made us feel so safe and cared about.
His passion for supporting the LGBTQ+ community was beautiful and very endearing. His enthusiasm to be part of our celebration added an extra layer of joy for us. It wasn’t just a job for him; it was a heartfelt commitment to inclusivity and love. He is a true “hopeless romantic” and “loves love” – which is definitely the kind of vibe you should have around you on your wedding day!
Thang also has a really great artistic eye – while thinking through locations and poses for photography, he was also cognizant of what would be good for videography and drone footage.
In addition, what set him apart was not just his skill behind the lens, but also his ability to make us feel at ease. As two individuals who typically shy away from the camera, his warmth and encouragement turned a potential discomfort into moments of genuine connection.

Thang is an incredibly gifted photographer! After sharing some of our wedding photos on social media, the response was overwhelming—everyone was blown away by the beautiful moments he captured. One of my friends, who runs a wedding business, even said they were among the best wedding photos she’s ever seen.
My husband and I are quite camera-shy and not fans of overly posed shots, and Thang really respected that. He documented our day in such a natural, effortless way—it genuinely felt like he was telling our story as it unfolded.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Jasmin Photography for two very diverse shoots. We met for a lifestyle inner-city shoot in Hanoi and also had a spontaneous vow renewal ceremony together. We have to say, he is one of the most talented and thoughtful photographers we have ever worked with.
During the inner-city shoot, Thang was able to perfectly capture the energy and vibe of the city, and his natural eye for detail, composition, and the right moment resulted in some truly stunning images. At the vow renewal ceremony, he was able to capture the emotion and joy of the moment in a way that was truly magical. Each shoot had a very different vibe and for both he was able to seamlessly blend into the background and capture candid moments that we will treasure forever.
Throughout both shoots, Thang was incredibly professional and so easy to work with. He is reliable and was able to organise and mobilise a whole team for us with very short notice. He goes above and beyond to create not only imagery, but an experience that is truly unforgettable. He was patient and attentive throughout the entire process, and his calm and friendly demeanour helped put us at ease and made the entire experience enjoyable.
What really set Thang apart, though, was his thoughtful and kind approach. He was genuinely interested in getting to know us and making us feel comfortable, and his warmth and sincerity shone through in every interaction. We made contact with Thang several months before our planned elopement and it was apparent that Thang is no ordinary wedding photographer. He was so thoughtful of our situation, the story we wanted to tell about our wedding and our guests. We were planning a ceremony just with our parents and wanted to prioritize their comfort during the wedding and our time in Vietnam. With Thang’s excellent communication, efficiency, and resourcefulness we were able to quickly able come up with a wedding plan that we were happy with.
Unfortunately, Typhoon Yagi hit a few days before we were due to arrive in Vietnam and threw a very big spanner in the works. What should have been an extremely stressful time was made bearable knowing that our Big Day was in Thang’s hands – he truly is our Fairy Godparent.
Thang was able to take care of the change in plans seamlessly – scouting a new wedding location, changing the wedding day to account for the weather, and liaising with local vendors on the fly to ensure the smoothest wedding day possible. He even met with us and our parents on the day before our wedding to alleviate our worries and introduce himself so that we felt more comfortable with him on the actual wedding day.
Thang has the most peaceable and calming presence and despite my husband and I being rather camera shy and concerned about the immense heat on the day of our wedding, we needn’t have worried. Our wedding photos truly captured the magic we felt on the day and have somehow made our memories more beautiful.
Thang surprised us with a photo album of Polaroids the day after our wedding, and we were all moved to tears looking at what he created for us. We couldn’t be happier that we chose Thang to be our wedding photographer and can honestly say we would love to catch up with him in the future when we visit Vietnam again as we feel we have made a new friend.
